One latest highlight of our Youtube channel is a recent presentation from APCA Training & Technical Assistance staff members Judith Lewallen, FNP and Sevilla I. Love, LCSW, titled, “Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy through Motivational Interviewing”. Communication techniques such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) support providers in empowering patients to make informed, positive decisions about their health. The webinar provides education, resources, and instruction of how to tackle vaccine hesitancy through role-play examples and MI technique-specific approaches that encourage a patient’s receptiveness to education and vaccines – and, how to improve outcomes if they still decline.
