Physician

Position Summary:
The Physician (MD or DO) is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services. This position involves practicing a broad spectrum of general medicine and emergency care in a rural setting while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Care:
   • Deliver patient-centered healthcare across all age groups.
   • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
   • Perform minor procedures as required.
   • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic health system.
2. Team Collaboration:
   • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
   • Actively participate in medical staff and administrative meetings.
3. Quality Improvement:
   • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
   • Support organizational change and adhere to established protocols and directives.
4. Community Engagement:
   • Act as a representative of CRHM's mission in the community.
   • Foster positive relationships with patients and families through professional communication.

Qualifications:

• Education & Licensure:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in Alaska.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Experience:
  • Preferred background in rural or community healthcare settings.
  • Experience in general practice and/or emergency care.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
  • Strong clinical judgment and professional ethics.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist patients requiring up to 50 pounds.
