ALASKA QUALITY IMPROVEMENT NETWORK (AQUIN)

AQuIN is a health-center-led quality improvement network that brings Alaska’s Community Health Centers together to share resources, strengthen health information technology (HIT) systems, and advance quality improvement efforts across the state.

  • Shared data analytics to support quality measurement and improvement
  • Group purchasing and economies of scale
  • Shared training and collaborative learning across participating Health Centers
  • Support for care coordinator and patient safety through HIT

APCA brings Alaska’s Community Health Centers together through collaborative networks that support shared learning, problem-solving, and system-wide resilience. These opportunities help Health Centers connect across roles, regions, and areas of focus.

ALASKA COMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK (ACHN)

ACHN is Alaska’s clinically integrated community health network, bringing participating Community Health Centers together to improve health outcomes, reduce costs, and strengthen long-term sustainability through shared strategies and value-based care efforts.

COLLABORATIVE NETWORKS

APCA hosts role-based collaborative networks that provide opportunities for Alaska’s Community Health Center staff to learn from guest speakers, connect with one another, and address shared challenges.

Assister’s Collaborative
Supports enrollment assisters with outreach, enrollment, and coverage retention efforts.

AQuIN
The Alaska Quality Improvement Network (AQuIN) is a Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) that supports participating Community Health Centers by sharing best practices and lessons learned. AQuIN also hosts collaboratives for AthenaOne, Azara, and Health Catalyst users.

Behavioral Health Integration
Supports Community Health Centers in integrating behavioral health into primary care.

Billing & Coding Collaborative
Brings together billing, coding, and revenue cycle professionals for shared learning and problem-solving.

Finance Collaborative
Connects CFOs and finance leaders to share insights, address challenges, and support financial leadership.

Provider Clinical Collaborative
Focuses on care integration, screening, and strategies to meet patient needs.

Recruitment & Retention Collaborative
Focuses on workforce challenges such as hiring, housing, and strategies to attract and retain talent.

Collaboratives are supported through My APCA Community, where members can stay connected between meetings and
access shared resources.

   

Workforce & Training Support for Community Health Centers

APCA supports Community Health Centers in building and sustaining a strong healthcare workforce through training pathways, apprenticeships, and workforce development programs.

Supporting Career Readiness

Pre-Apprenticeship Training in Healthcare (PATH) provides flexible foundational and skills-based training opportunities that support workforce readiness and help participants build on existing workplace skills.

REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIPS

APCA provides distance-delivered, earn-and-learn Registered Apprenticeships that help employers develop talent from within while supporting healthcare professionals through structured, hands-on experience.

COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS

APCA supports Community Health Centers in developing Community Health Worker (CHW) programs and other role-specific workforce initiatives that strengthen care teams and community connection.
