Alaska Community Health Center staff and leaders are invited to join a live training session focused on understanding and using the HRSA Behavioral Health Service Expansion (BHSE) funding. This session will also include a review of the HHS Roadmap for Behavioral Health Integration.
Participants will learn how to increase the number of patients receiving mental health, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) services, as well as strategies for documentation best practices, project design, and measuring progress. The session will also feature a deep dive into Alaska-specific data to highlight the importance of behavioral health services and their prevalence in our state.

This year’s theme – Rooted in Care – celebrates the many ways health center staff and leaders contribute to healthier communities. Up to six individuals from each health center will be recognized across six categories: Compassion, Experience, Innovation, Support, Teamwork, and Potential.
