Who We Are

The Alaska Primary Care Association (APCA) is a nonprofit that supports Alaska’s 29 Community Health Centers. Since 1995, we’ve partnered with health centers to invest in Alaska’s healthcare workforce, enhance operational performance, and amplify community impact.

Together with health centers, we help shape a healthcare system that serves one in six Alaskans across more than 200 sites statewide. Beyond clinical care, APCA expands Alaska’s healthcare workforce through pre-apprenticeships, registered apprenticeships, and online certifications — building pathways for Alaskans to grow their healthcare careers.

As Alaska’s cooperative agreement recipient with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), we collaborate with private, state, and federal partners to broaden comprehensive, high-quality primary care throughout the state.

Through these partnerships and programs, APCA remains committed to ensuring every Alaskan can receive the care they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives — no matter where they live.
