Who We Are
The Alaska Primary Care Association (APCA) is a nonprofit that supports Alaska’s 29 Community Health Centers. Since 1995, APCA has worked alongside Health Centers to invest in Alaska’s healthcare workforce, enhance operational performance, and strengthen community impact.
Together with Health Centers, APCA helps shape a healthcare system that serves one in six Alaskans across more than 200 sites statewide. Beyond clinical care, APCA expands Alaska’s healthcare workforce through pre-apprenticeships, registered apprenticeships, and online certifications — building pathways for Alaskans to grow their healthcare careers.
As Alaska’s cooperative agreement recipient with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), APCA collaborates with private, state, and federal agencies to support comprehensive, high-quality primary care throughout the state.
Through this work and these programs, APCA remains committed to ensuring every Alaskan can receive the care they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives — no matter where they live.
