Community Health Workers, also known as CHWs (and a variety of other titles), help individuals navigate Alaska’s healthcare system and connect individuals to services and support available locally. CHWs are a trusted resource in the community they live and serve, providing a range of services including outreach, education, informal counseling, social support, and advocacy.
