Are you ready to make a difference in your community and build a career in healthcare?
APCA’s Pre-Apprenticeship Training in Healthcare (PATH) is a free, two-week program for Alaskans ages 18 and older who want to explore healthcare careers, gain hands-on experience, and prepare for future training or employment.
When: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Training Format:

Week 1 – In Person (Anchorage): Earn CPR certification, participate in Mental Health First Aid training, and complete job-readiness workshops.

Week 2 – Virtual: Continue your learning online with interactive sessions focused on healthcare pathways and employment connections.
Participants must attend both weeks to complete the program.

In partnership with the Washington Association for Community Health, this session will explore survivor-centered approaches to care, the impacts of perinatal IPV, barriers to disclosure and support, and practical strategies for strengthening patient-centered clinical responses.

In partnership with the Washington Association for Community Health, this session will explore institutional practices that support IPV-responsive care, including safer documentation, standardized screening and response pathways, mandatory reporting considerations, and practical approaches to strengthening care quality, staff sustainability, and survivor safety.
