Description

Behavioral Health Clinician

Turnagain Community Health – Girdwood, Alaska

Turnagain Community Health (TCH) is a mission-driven federally qualified health center serving the Girdwood and greater Anchorage community. We are seeking a licensed or license-eligible Behavioral Health Clinician to join our integrated care team and provide compassionate, high-quality outpatient behavioral health services across the lifespan.

This role is ideal for a clinician who values relationship-based care, continuity, and meaningful connection with patients – and who wants their work to truly matter in a close-knit community setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual therapy to adults, adolescents, and/or children, including treatment for substance use disorders and couples counseling, based on training, licensure, and clinical interest
  • Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers as part of an integrated care team
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultation, and quality improvement activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed or license-eligible clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent)
  • Strong clinical judgment, warmth, and professionalism
  • Comfort working with patients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions
  • Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing learning
  • Ability to work in person at our clinic in Girdwood at least part of each week

A hybrid telebehavioral health schedule may be possible for a portion of the workweek, depending on patient needs and clinic operations; however, regular on-site presence is an essential expectation of this role.

Why Join Turnagain Community Health

  • Mission-driven work with deep community impact
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture
  • Opportunity to build long-term therapeutic relationships
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Loan repayment eligibility (NHSC), depending on position and qualifications
  • Stunning setting at the base of the Chugach Mountains

To apply:  Please submit a resume and brief cover letter describing your clinical background and interest in community health and integrated team-based practice to: Kalie Harrison, Administrative Practice Manager, K.Harrison@ghcak.org.
