Mat-Su Health Services is seeking Medical Assistants to join our team. After 6 months of positive employment, successful candidates will receive a $1,000 retention bonus.

e have openings at the MA I, II, and III levels, certified or non-certified, available. Responsibilities are increasingly complex at each level. Non-certified candidates will need to have experience in a healthcare setting as an EMT II, EMT III, CNA, Community Health Aide, or closely related healthcare position.

This full-time position requires a strong team player and self-starter.  Our medical assistants prepare for patient visits, monitor your provider’s schedule, keep providers on schedule, assist with medical procedures, provide patient education, assist with patient care coordination, and more.

As part of our team, you will be able to demonstrate your customer service skills, working knowledge of HIPAA laws, exercise initiative, discretion, and sound decision-making.

  Certified Non-Certified MA I $18.00/hour + DOE $16.00/hour + DOE MA II $20.00/hour + DOE $18.00/hour + DOE MA III $22.00/hour + DOE $20.00/hour + DOE

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily inside a heated, ventilated, and well-lighted environment.
  • Job is considered low-risk for hazard exposure.
  • MSHS is a nonsmoking campus.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands for patient care.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification; Non-certified candidates will need to have experience in a healthcare setting as an EMT II, EMT III, CNA, Community Health Aide, or closely related healthcare position.
  • Have general knowledge of EMR/EHR software and Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

General Requirements:

  • Clear background check (subject to DHSS background check)
  • Current driver’s license; clean driving record
  • Current tuberculosis screening test result
  • First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within two weeks of hire.
