We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Christian Medical Clinics in Alaska. The ideal candidate will have experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and a strong commitment to providing quality medical care while upholding Christian values and principles.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to patients.
  2. Develop and implement medical policies, protocols, and procedures in accordance with FQHC regulations and best practices.
  3. Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and overall clinic performance.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  6. Participate in quality improvement activities, including monitoring patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  7. Provide direct patient care as needed, maintaining a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.
  8. Represent the clinics in community outreach efforts and foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including patients, community leaders, and healthcare partners.
  9. Stay current with developments in healthcare policies, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into clinic operations as appropriate.
  10. Uphold and promote the Christian values and mission of the clinics in all aspects of work and interactions.

Qualifications:

  1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  2. Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska, or the ability to obtain one.
  3. Board certification in a primary care specialty (e.g., family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics).
  4. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an FQHC.
  5. Strong understanding of FQHC operations, compliance requirements, and reporting procedures.
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  7. Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of diverse backgrounds.
  8. Alignment with the Christian values and mission of the clinics.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
  10. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies.
